Here are 5 ways to support that new mama in your life (Forward on if you feel the need!)
We’ve all been there. It’s why being there for that new mama is everything. She’s just undergone a huge change in her life. Although it’s an incredible one, hormones and exhaustion can really make it a crazy time. Why not help her out with a few our tips below?
She’s just had a baby. PLEASE don’t tell her how she should be doing things. Unless she asks for your help or requests for you to demonstrate what you did, zip it, sister. And we mean that.
“Shout if you need anything!” Yes, sure. She’ll totally say she’s out of shampoo and dog food. Instead, send a delivery of groceries to her house or send a text message to say you’re headed to do a grocery shop and passing her house on the way home, what does she need? This is a more sincere attempt to help a friend.
Drop off a meal
I mean gifts for their newborn are great but you can’t feed a hungry family of four with them now, can you? Few things hit the sweet spot like giving that new mama a night off from worrying about feeding herself and her crew. Better yet, grab a few frozen meals for her freezer for a gift that keeps on giving.
Mom friends are literally more precious than diamonds… for reals. They know exactly where we’re coming from and always know just what we need when we’re really going through it. Ladies, pop that new mama a message and tell her you’re there for her. She’ll be so grateful.
Tell her she’s a Rockstar
“You’re doing an incredible job.” Just a few genuine words of appreciation for a new mom go a long way. If you’ve ever been on the receiving end of a statement like this, you’ll know just how much it means to a mama who’s feeling at her lowest.
Hey mama, we’re your number one fan
Whether it’s a shoulder to cry on or a few useful items like make this whole motherhood thing a heck of a lot easier, we’ve got you. And in case no one told you today, you’ve got this!
